Southampton striker Che Adams will miss the Premier League home game against Leeds United on Saturday after sustaining a muscle injury while playing for Scotland, manager Ralph Hasenhuttl said on Thursday.
Adams was ruled out of Scotland’s match against the Faroe Islands after being injured in their 3-2 win over Israel at Hampden Park.
“The injury is not serious, but he will miss the weekend match,” Hasenhuttl told a news conference. “I haven’t seen the rest of the players, but the reports about them are encouraging.”
Hasenhuttl’s team, which has not achieved any victory so far, is in 17th place with four points from seven matches. Hasenhuttl predicted a difficult match against Leeds, who are ahead of him by a position in the standings.
