Accompanied by two public criminal defenders, the man who allegedly caused the absence of a 16-year-old teenager, a student at the Colegio de Bachilleres, campus 19, was presented yesterday before a Control Judge.
The initial hearing under criminal case 5461/2024 for crimes against the proper formation of minors against Jesús Carlos RA was declared private at the request of the victim’s counsel, in the best interest of the child and out of respect for the dignity of the adolescent, given that sensitive data and images were exposed, it was said.
The session was chaired by Judge Alma Delia Nájera Sáenz, who asked the participants to identify themselves and then warned the media representatives present to take care of the sensitive data that might be disclosed during the development, and it was RA the detainee who the advisory service requested privacy for.
Jesús Carlos arrived in handcuffs, wearing the same black hooded sweatshirt he was arrested in, blue sports shorts and grey tennis shoes without straps. He ended up in preventive detention for 12 months in the Cereso number 3 of this city.
The District Attorney’s Office for the Northern Zone executed an arrest warrant on the afternoon of September 5 and he was placed at the disposal of the Superior Court of Justice to be presented at a hearing scheduled for 11:00 a.m., but it did not begin until 12:17 p.m.
Journalistic monitoring reveals that a 16-year-old student at Colegio de Bachilleres Campus 19 was reported missing by her family on September 3, after she did not return from school despite her parents leaving her at the door and that was the last time she was seen.
On Wednesday, the investigation into the teenager was spread on social media, as well as one by RA as a suspect in having kidnapped her.
“Her family believes that she left with (RA) or that he himself took her by force. Before, he had already been reported to the State Attorney General’s Office for harassment against the teenager,” El Diario reported that day.
On Thursday, the teenager was found alive and safe in a house in the Manuel Valdés neighborhood by elements of the State Public Security Secretariat who relied on technology from the Centinela Platform, and in the afternoon the arrest warrant was executed.
The charge is for the crime provided for in article 184 bis of the State Penal Code, under which “anyone who, for lascivious purposes, through the use of information and communication technologies or any other means, contacts a person under eighteen years of age to arrange a physical meeting or obtain images, texts, audio or video recordings of erotic or sexual content” is punished with between one and three years in prison in addition to a fine and submission to specialized comprehensive treatment focused on the eradication of sexual violence.
