Slovenian Tadej Pogacar won the Giro d’Italia. In the last stage, which ended at the Fori Imperiali in Rome, a winning sprint by the Belgian Tim Merlier, who preceded Jonathan Milan. Pogacar, who has also won two Tours de France, two Liège-Bastogne-Liège, three Tours of Lombardy and one Tour of Flanders in his career, takes over from compatriot Primoz Roglic in the roll of honor of the RCS race.
