Kerttu Niskanen and Krista Pärmäkoski finished fourth in the sprint.
Men in the sprint message Joni Mäki and Iivo Niskanen skied Olympic silver for Finland.
The sprint message started calmly, but the pace accelerated for the leg, Niskanen moved to the top before the last change and gave Mäki a dream place for the anchor leg.
The hill was competing with the two toughest tensions in the world. Norwegian Johannes Høsflot Klæbo was sovereign, but Mäki washed Russia handsomely Alexander Terenteevin.
Niskanen received his partner with a hug at the finish. After the performance, the expected biceps of Mäki were also seen.
“Is that Joni’s amazing guy!” glowed Harri Kirvesniemi performance.
Women the sprint message looked good all the way to the final meters, but in the end it was a bitter fourth place for Finland.
The final started Kerttu Niskasen in command and Finland came first in the first exchange.
“Now let’s go and not remember. Kerttu wants to keep the gas from the bottom and freeze the sprinters,” said Yle’s ski expert Toni Roponen in the broadcast.
A dramatic moment was seen as Norway’s medal opportunities faded Tiril Udnes Wengin with a broken rod.
Niskanen desperately tore apart from the others before the last change, but Germany reached number one and 0, 6 seconds ahead of the anchor section.
Pärmäkoski then took first place, but in the close cluster we came towards the goal and in the final race Pärmäkoski was left in the top three.
Germany came in first, Sweden in silver and Russia in third. Bitter fourth place for Finland.
