The Egyptian president made it clear during a telephone interview on the local CBC channel that he feels that there are thousands of Egyptians who cannot convey their voice to officials, stressing that the state is making every effort to relieve the poor, but that is not enough.
Al-Sisi added: “To be honest with ourselves and with our cause, the Egyptian resources and income do not keep pace with the population of the Egyptian people, and the salaries are not enough for people to live a decent life. Difficult”.
Close social protection measures
He continued, “We have a solidarity and dignity initiative that covers 3.7 million families, and what we give them is not large, but a total of about 19.5 billion pounds, and we are working to increase the beneficiary segment.”
The Egyptian president added that the state will take “social protection measures in the coming days to confront the developments that are taking place in the world, developments that are not in our hands, but affect us, such as wheat and fuel prices and the instability of trade movement in a connected world.”
Sisi: Egypt is fine
He pointed out that: “There was a Corona epidemic, but then we found another crisis, but what I want to tell people is that we are fine and things are going well, and we have the basic needs that are required and are well available for an appropriate number of months, so I have made sure during the past years that we have a suitable reserve It suffices at least 3 or 4 months, even if there is any development, we take the appropriate measures during these months, and thank God there is no shortage of goods.”
Expansion of wheat cultivation
Al-Sisi indicated that: “The wheat silo projects aim to preserve the wheat in a humane form without being exposed to rodents, insects or corruption, and we will make other silos, and we will expand wheat cultivation at a rate of one million acres to reduce dependence on the outside.”
The Egyptian president stressed that: “The problem is not only providing basic commodities, but improving people’s lives. We work on both sides to provide commodities and improve people’s lives in education, health, and employment. The projects aim to find opportunities for people to work, so that the person finds something that generates income for him, and the volume of work.” In the country it provides an opportunity to inject money to people who are hard to reach except through companies that hire people for jobs.”
