Sirti and Aruba strengthen their collaboration in the framework of the Sirti Digital Lab
Innovative projects continue to grow within the Sirti Digital Lab, a real Research & Development laboratory where latest generation digital technology is studied and integrated.
In this context, Sirti and Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company, announce the strengthening of their partnership to study integrated solutions capable of exploiting the full potential of the Edge.
The research project between the two tech companies will leverage on the Aruba Edge Services Platform (ESP) architecture, hosted within the Sirti Digital Lab and based on Artificial Intelligence for IT Operations (AIOps), Edge-to-Cloud Security, Infrastructure unified and As-a-Service options, central elements in the digital transformation processes that lead to the Intelligent Edge.
The Aruba ESP platform, in synergy with the latest generation switches and access points, allows you to safely exchange ever-increasing quantities of data with highly performing Edge and Cloud Computing systems.
The exponential growth in the number of users, devices and sensors interconnected on the Edge requires innovative tools to ensure high levels of operational efficiency. Thanks to technologies such as Machine learning and Artificial Intelligence, Aruba ESP allows you to quickly recognize trends, identify problems, and apply new configurations automatically.
"We are particularly satisfied with the increasingly central role that our Digital Lab is assuming as a space for innovation, creativity, and collaboration between technological players capable of making a real difference in the digital transformation process of the country system", commented Benedetto Di Salvo. , head of Sirti's Digital Solutions business unit. "Among the most interesting development areas of the Intelligent Edge there are crucial sectors for Italy such as Industry 4.0 and the IoT, with all the implications related to preventive and predictive maintenance of machinery, but also precision agriculture , transport and health. Analysts predict that by 2022, approximately 75% of the data generated by companies will be created and processed outside the traditional centralized data center or in the cloud. This shows that the rise of the Intelligent Edge has just begun ”.
