The Italian Jannik Sinner, world number one, defeated the Australian Alex de Minaur (8 ATP) 6-3, 6-2 and 6-1 with an exhibition of play and qualified for the semifinals of the Australian Open, in which He will face the American Ben Shelton (20).
Sinner defends the title won in 2024. The other semifinal will be played by the Serbian Novak Djokovic (7) and the German Alexander Zverev (2).
