Inside the dome of the Rimini exhibition centre, named in memory of the late President Lorenzo Cagnoni, the award ceremony took place for the best projects among the exhibiting companies and startups of greatest excellence at Sigep 2024, the leading sweet foodservice fair in Italy organized by Italian Exhibition Group.
From the sustainability of ingredients to end-to-end traceability for agri-food supply chains via blockchain technology, from the fight against food waste to compostable and biodegradable packaging, from web platforms serving commercial operators to the first plug and play software for the online presence of restaurateurs , from recruiting for the horeca sector to sustainable coffee packaging solutions up to digital management control and delivery and take away service. This and much more among the startups present within the Vision Plaza, the beating heart of the Innovation District promoted by Sigep and which sees the main partnership of ANGI – National Association of Young Innovators, a point of reference for innovation in Italy.
Coordinating the moderation during the awards ceremony was ANGI president Gabriele Ferrieri: among the startups that have obtained the highest recognition from the awards ceremony Foreverland Food with Giuseppe D'Alessandro, CMO and Co-founder; Restaurants Club with Elisa Seghetti, Founder and marketing director; Trusty Srl Benefit Society with Stefano De Rosa, Company Accountant Manager.
For the innovation awards linked to exhibiting companies, there were a total of 15 special mentions divided into the 5 categories.
For the best “innovative product”, awarded respectively UNOX SPA with Sabrina Arcaro, Chief Marketing Officer; ITALY SUGAR COMMERCIAL with Leandro Cariolo, Marketing Director; Città del Gelato Srl with Michele Rotolo, Research and Development Director.
Among the companies with more “sustainable” projects”, awarded respectively FOOD PACKAGING with Johnny Dell'Avanzato, Commercial Director; Caffè Pascucci Torrefazione Spa with Mario Pascucci, Legal Representative; Illycaffè SpA. with Evangelos Touras, CMO.
For the category “ORGANIC FREE FROM”, awarded the companies respectively Spice Ship Srl with Riza Kamal Shadiq, Head of R&D and Sustainability; Molini Bongiovanni Spa with Gaia Bongiovanni Marketing Manager; Molini Bongiovanni Spa with Gaia Bongiovanni, Marketing Manager; Bindi – Dessert Masters with Antonio Balestrieri, Brand&Product Manager.
For the more innovative projects on the “PACKAGING” sideawarded the companies respectively Gondola Packaging with Leondini Ruggero Head of Commercial Management; Lampa Packaging SRL. with Fabrizio Lampa, Administrator and sales manager; Medac srl with Eng. Carla Buccino, Head of the Research and Development division.
For the category “Digital Innovation”, awarded the companies respectively LABWARE with Paolo Pagnanini, Chief Innovation Officer; Coldline – the Nice kitchen with Massimo Caudullo, commercial director of the group; Cooki srl with Giuseppe Grammatico, CEO and founder.
