The new edition of
Gastronomic Region of Murciawhich will be held from Friday 4 to Monday 7 November in the Annex of the Víctor Villegas Auditorium in Murcia, offers the
opportunity to your visitors to enjoy live cooking menus by different prestigious chefs from the Region and various tasting menus. The Calle de las Tapas will once again become the meeting point for those attending the Gastronomic Region of Murcia who want to enjoy a wide variety of delicious tapas, drinks and tastings from more than thirty exhibitors.
In this eleventh edition, Murcia Gastronomic Region will have the ‘stands’ of Panasa, Los Chispos Restaurant, Confitería Maite, A Pulpo, Makro, Aliminter, Fripozo, Ben-Hur Mediterranean Spices, El Alboroque, Grupo Orenes Hotels and Restaurants, Brasas Panasa & Paco Rosa, IRCA, Hermanos Escámez Sánchez, Guimonto Cortadores, Atrium by Tuawa, Estrella de Levante, Salzillo Tea and Coffee, Asociación Origen Murcia, Murcia City Council, Asian José Díaz, Espumosos Martínez, Bodegas Luzón, Molina City Council, Gil Family Estates, Bodegas Maset, Cartagena City Council, Juana La Loca Wine, FJD Faustino and José Damián, Lorca City Council, Arlini Vermouth, Tinto Corazón, Gran Rhin, The Gastronomic Market Company and Assido.

Those attending the culinary congress will be able to opt for a series of ‘Cooking Live’ menus, which will be run by Pablo González (Cabaña Buenavista, two Michelin stars) and Nazario Cano (Odiseo, one Michelin star). The first of them will offer a proposal that can be tasted on Saturday 5 during lunch hours -at 2:00 p.m.-. Among its dishes, shrimps, pickled mushrooms and forest infusion and pigeon rice and Iberian suckling pig, its castanet and Murcian pringue. For his part, Cano has designed a menu to savor on Sunday 6 at lunch time –2:00 p.m.–, with corn horchata, asparagus and cockles; macaroni, carbonara and cocochas; and galley rice and smoked eel, among others.

The tandem formed by chefs José Cremades (La Mestiza) and Sergio de la Orden (El Mosqui) will prepare a selection of four-handed dishes. A live gastronomic show during the day of Monday 7 during lunch hours -2:00 p.m. These dishes include shrimp cannoli, garlic anchovy niguiri, sea bass and beet tartare, old cow taco with noisette potato and, for dessert, torrija.

On the other hand, the restaurant area will once again stand out, where different establishments will offer menus specially designed for the occasion.
Tapería de la Huerta will offer, on the 4th and 5th during lunch hours, a menu in which the cachopo will have a special presence. It will be accompanied by other dishes such as tomato stuffed with avocado and seafood, eggplant blood sausage, smoked salmon salad with mango and lime dressing, and scrambled eggs with mushrooms and Parmesan cheese. Cod, artichoke and turbot are products that will reign in Lariz, with a menu available on the 7th during lunch hours.
Asian cuisine will arrive on 4 – dinner time, at 9:00 p.m. – and 5 – lunch and dinner time – at the hands of Koi Sushi, with a menu with gyozas, niguiris and uramakis.
On Sunday 6, during lunch and dinner hours, Gastrobar Matavinos will serve a menu that will feature products such as sardines, salmon, Iberian secret meat and sirloin, among others. A wide variety of flavors for all those who wish to enjoy the Gastronomic Region of Murcia comfortably around the table.
Workshops, tastings and the ronqueo of a tuna, in the terrace area
In the terrace area there will be workshops, tastings, and even the ronqueo of a 200-kilo tuna by Fuentes El Atún Rojo. Music and different shows will also be the protagonists of a space designed to fully enjoy the congress. There will be tastings of limited edition Estrella de Levante beers, of wines from the Protected Designations of Origin of Bullas, Yecla and Jumilla, as well as wine tastings by the Association of Sommeliers of the Region of Murcia or the pairing tasting of tuna and wine by Maza y Cerón and La Bien Pagá. A great opportunity to discover how the unique qualities and versatility of the fortified wines from Jerez make them the perfect pairing for bluefin tuna, a top-quality product that can be prepared in various ways. The workshop will be held on Saturday 5, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
In addition to having a toy library service –for children between 4 and 12 years old–, the little ones will be able to show their culinary skills in eight workshops with different menus sponsored by Pujant. They will be able to learn how to prepare tasty dishes such as empanadillas, nuggets and fajitas.
For the adult public, Schweppes will carry out a workshop to perfect the gin and tonic technique, presenting the ‘selection’ tonic of grapefruit and berries from Nepal, its new product. Cheese and vermouth will have their space in two workshops with tasting included by La Lechera de Bordeaux, on Sunday 6, from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m., and La Tienda del Barman, also on Sunday, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., respectively. .
There will also be a panetone contest and the already consolidated solidarity court of ElPozo Alimentación in favor of the Segura Food Bank.
