Trade|Lidl, often crowned as the cheapest store, is disappointed by the grocery basket comparisons made by outsiders. In May, it made its own report, in which the chain compared the prices of its products to the cheap brands of the S and K group in seven cities.
Grocery store Lidl claims to be the cheapest of the large grocery stores in seven major cities in Finland.
In May, Lidl did its own grocery basket comparison, where it compared the prices of about 40 products in seven cities: Helsinki, Turku, Tampere, Jyväskylä, Vaasa, Oulu and Kuopio. Shopping was done in all cities, not only at the local Lidl, but also at the S group’s Prisma and S-Market and the K group’s K-Citymarket and K-Supermarket.
