Shlemenko withdrew from the fight in the promotion of Nurmagomedov

Russian mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Alexander Shlemenko has pulled out of a fight against Faridun Odilov in the Eagle FC promotion, which is owned by Khabib Nurmagomedov. This is reported in Instagram organizations.

“Alexander Shlemenko will not be able to compete at Eagle FC 47. Unfortunately, Storm does not have time to recover from his injury,” the promotion said in a statement. It is noted that in connection with this Odilova will pick up a new opponent.

Earlier, Shlemenko speculated about a possible continuation of his career in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Assessing the chances of signing a contract with the promotion, he noted that he is a media fighter not only in Russia, but also in North America. “I have more than ten fights in the main events on one of the federal channels. Therefore, as a hypothetical assumption – why not? the fighter said.

Shlemenko became famous for his performances in Bellator. He was the organization’s middleweight champion. In total, the 37-year-old athlete has 61 wins and 13 losses in 75 fights, one more fight was declared invalid.
