Mexico City.- The virtual president-elect, Claudia Sheinbaum, spoke tonight with the businessman Carlos Slim, when attending the presentation of the “Carlos Slim Awards in Health”, which were presented by the businessman.
Sheinbaum came to accompany his family, since one of the winners was Doctor Moisés Selman Lama, partner for more than 30 years of Annie Pardo Cemo, mother of the next President.
“He is my father… my mother’s husband for many years, so I am going to accompany him. It is an award that they give him, it has been defined for a long time, from the Slim Foundation, for career in research,” Sheinbaum said before attend the ceremony.
Interviewed outside the transition house, before going to the Soumaya Museum, in Polanco, Sheinbaum recalled that Doctor Selman Lama was for decades director of Research at the National Institute of Respiratory Diseases (INER).
At the ceremony, Sheinbaum took a place in the front row, where she was accompanied by her husband, Jesús María Tarriba.
“We especially appreciate the presence of Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, virtual president-elect of Mexico,” Marco Antonio Slim Domit, one of Carlos Slim’s sons, said at the microphone.
At the end of the ceremony, Sheinbaum shared a photograph in which he is seen talking with Carlos Slim, outside the Museum.
“I accompanied Dr. Moisés Selman, my mother’s partner for 36 years, emeritus researcher at the National Institute of Respiratory Diseases, to receive the award for career in health research from the Carlos Slim Foundation. I was very pleased to greet Eng. Carlos Slim,” posted the next president.
