Sheinbaum emphasized that these reforms will be subjected to a broad and in-depth discussion, involving experts, bars, ministers and magistrates, thus guaranteeing an inclusive and transparent process.
Broad Consultation with the People of Mexico
Claudia Sheinbaum stressed the importance of carrying out broad consultations with the people of Mexico before the implementation of the reforms, especially that of the Judiciary.
“Public consultation is essential to legitimize any significant change to our Constitution,” Sheinbaum said.
In addition to the reform of the Judiciary, other initiatives that Sheinbaum proposed during his campaign and that he wants to have constitutional status were discussed.
These include support for women aged 60 to 64, scholarships for boys and girls in basic education in public schools, and a reform to the ISSSTE Law of 2007 to address teachers’ requests.
Sheinbaum highlighted the need for honest and responsible use of public finances to implement these programs, ensuring that they will be delivered in excellent condition by President López Obrador.

Sheinbaum also announced that he will present his official Cabinet next week, marking the formal start of transition work.
The first actions include a series of visits to the works carried out during the López Obrador administration. These visits will be an opportunity to evaluate progress and determine areas that need continuity and improvement.
