“Sharjah Self-Defense” champion of the “Judo Buds” Festival

The annual Judo Buds and Juniors Open Festival achieved great success, calling for optimism about the birth of a new base of talent in the game, in support of the national age teams, after more than 220 promising players participated in the festival organized by the Federation, at the Zayed Sports Complex of the General Sports Authority in Fujairah, in cooperation with the Fujairah Sports Club. Fujairah Martial Arts, sponsored by Mohammed bin Thaloub Al-Darai, President of the Federation, under the slogan “Everyone is a Winner.”
The final results resulted in Sharjah Self-Defense Sports being crowned first place, followed by Fujairah Martial Arts in runner-up, and Khor Fakkan in third place. At the individual level, 12 gold medals were distributed out of 36 colored medals.
The Sharjah Self-Defense Sports Club won 6 gold medals, won by Sultan Al Dhaheri (under 42 kg), Saif Muhammad (under 50 kg), Hassan Al Hammadi (under 60 kg), Omar Al Ansari (under 73 kg), and Youssef Muhammad. Weight under 81 kg,” and Ahmed Al-Bannai “weight over 81 kg.”
“Fujairah Martial Arts” won gold medals through Abdulaziz Mohammed (weight under 30 kg), Mohammed Abdul Karim (weight under 34 kg), Omar Al-Awadhi (weight under 46 kg), Khalifa Al-Yamahi (weight under 55 kg), and Adam Hassan. “Under 66 kg” and Khor Fakkan player Hamdan Saleh deserved a gold medal in the under 38 kg weight.
At the conclusion of the annual festival, Mohammed Jassim, Assistant Secretary, local judo official, accompanied by Issa Bin Howeiden, member of the federation, head of the Clubs and Centers Committee in the Eastern and Northern Regions, honored the participants and crowned the winning clubs.
Mohammed bin Thaloub Al-Darai praised the success of the Judo Buds and Juniors Festival, directing us to continue working to create a broad base of talented people, while providing all the requirements for success, to motivate young people to continue their journey in the field of the game.
Ibn Thaloub thanked all the parties that contributed to the success of the festival, specifically the president and members of the Fujairah Martial Arts Club for their sincere and continuous cooperation, and he appreciated the efforts of the participating clubs, which contributed to the festival coming out in a wonderful way, confirming the excellence of the age groups in the various clubs, and reflecting everyone’s endeavor to expand the base of the game. This leads to optimism about a bright future for the game.
