Bosnian Miralem Pjanic, Sharjah midfielder, announced his retirement from playing for his country internationally, after a busy career, during which he played 115 international matches.
Pjanic said on his personal Instagram account: “After 16 years of my life in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the time has come to say, my football career with my country’s national team has ended. This is certainly considered one of the difficult decisions in my life, but with great pride and real pleasure I can say now.” Enough”.
Pjanic said: “I played 115 matches, lived many moments of joy, and went to the World Cup, and all of that was a dream I had when I was a young child and it became a reality. I have always worn my country’s national team shirt with love and pride, and I played for my country and our loyal fans in many ways.” Of competitions.
Pjanic sent several messages to several parties, saying: “Thank you to all the technical staff that I worked with in the national team and the medical personnel who supported me in my career, and thanks to the fans of Bosnia and Herzegovina for their belief in me and helping me achieve my dream and playing for the country that I love.”

In every club I played in, I was a proud Bosnian, and I always strive to be a role model for our children, hoping that one day they will join the biggest clubs in the world. Pjanic (34 years old) played 115 matches in Bosnia and Herzegovina and scored 17 goals. He appeared for the first time in 2008 in a friendly match against Bulgaria. Throughout his career, he played for several international clubs, Metz and Lyon (France), Roma, Juventus (Italy), and Barcelona ( Spain) and Besiktas (Turkey), and he is currently part of the Sharjah team.
