Before “House of the dragon”, the series “Game of Thrones” he stood out on television thanks to the crude way in which he told his story; that is, without fear of explicitly showing nudity, mutilations and the like. Based on this, one of the most memorable episodes of the HBO production —based on the incomplete work of George RR Martin— was the one in which Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey), submitted by Septa Unella (Hannah Waddingham), stars ‘the walk of shame’.
This moment, which occurs in episode 10 of the fifth season, showed Cersei moving completely naked on the long stretch from the entrance of the Great Sept of Baelor to the Red Keep. On that same tour, the inhabitants of King’s Landing yelled at him, spat and threw things.
Now, 17 years later, the actresses who starred in this moment – and the revenge moment, which occurs a season later – met again on the street to star in a fun video that has already gone viral.
The footage shows Lena and Hannah ‘passing each other’ on the sidewalk. “Don’t go away, you poured like 10 hours of wine all over my face,” says Waddingham. “You yelled at me… you yelled at me multiple times on the street,” Headey replies.
The video ends with both of them laughing and singing “We’re reunited and it feels so good!” and the person recording them yelling the famous word from the walk scene: “Shame!” (Shame).
the walk of shame
‘The walk of shame’ is one of the most remembered moments of “Game of thrones”. In the episode “Mother’s mercy”, Cersei Lannister admits her sins, but is forced to walk naked across King’s Landing.
For this scene, which occurred in the season five finale, Lena Headey did not show her body. In reality, a double was used for all the moments in which the camera focused on the character’s naked body.
