The Seville-Betis Regatta is back, one of the most important sporting events in the city. The passion of football duality transferred to the river turns 64 years old and will celebrate its 58th edition on November 9, when the red and white and green and white crews compete over 6,000 meters in the Guadalquivir dock, from the Alamillo Bridge until the Pier of Delights.
The origin of this test dates back to 1960 and was designed for eight-man boats with a helmsman. Miguel López Torrontegui and Luis Munoz. After the first three editions, competition was stopped until 1970, when a competition was resumed that since then has been held uninterruptedly and has evolved greatly. It has changed its itinerary and in recent years it has also been giving space to women until achieving absolute parity with six derbies on the program: absolute male, veterans, male candidates, absolute female, veterans and female candidates.

In male candidates, the general also belongs to the green and white pot (18-20) and in female candidates, a recently created category, equality prevails (1-1). In the veteran categories, Sevilla leads in women (2-0) and Betis, in men (9-20).
