He Sevilla FC has been delivered this Wednesday, November 13 in the anteroom of the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán of the XV José Antonio Blázquez Prize and of XII Manuel Ruesga Bono Award. With this award the club traditionally honors the most outstanding journalistic and photojournalistic pieces of the last season.
On this occasion, the audiovisual piece was awarded the José Antonio Blázquez Prize. Report + dedicated to Jose Antonio Reyes and that had the title of ‘Kings, smile and legend’. He second prize was awarded to Atresmedia which disseminated, also in audiovisual format, the emotional story of the emigrant Idrissa Simbone, a Burkinabé emigrant who receives help from the Sevilla FC Foundation. Menchu de la Iglesia, director of the Movistar + documentary, preceded by Curro Reyes, collected the first prize, while Leandro Iglesias and Josep Pedrerol passed by the lectern after posing with the second prize.
Likewise the journalist Guillermo Sanchezretired last season, collected the special award for his career in which he followed Sevilla FC for many years and was also previously recognized by the club (2005 and 2016) for his work.
As for the Manuel Ruesga Bono photojournalism award, the twelfth edition fell into the hands of Kiko Hurtadofrom ElDesmarque for his photograph of Kike Salas during the last derby played at the Benito Villamarín in which he celebrated the tying goal in a heartfelt way and looking towards the sky. The photojournalist was grateful for the recognition and also wanted to highlight the figure of his father, from whom he inherited the passion for capturing images.
