Seven drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) were shot down on approach to the village of Kamenka in the Kherson region, one damaged windows in a school, but there were no casualties. The governor of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, announced this on the evening of Tuesday, February 6.
“Militants of the Ukrainian armed forces today carried out a terrorist attack on the village of Kamenka, Kakhovka municipal district, using FPV drones. Our military shot down seven drones, one exploded, damaging several windows in the school,” he wrote on the Telegram channel.
There were no casualties in the attack, and the Russian military is on standby, Saldo added.
Earlier that day, a Ukrainian Armed Forces drone attacked the emergency team of the district operational service (RES) in Yasinovataya, which was carrying out repair and restoration work. There were no injuries, said city mayor Dmitry Shevchenko.
Prior to this, Ukrainian militants fired at the village of Butovo, Starobelsky district in the Lugansk People's Republic (LPR), as a result of which a gas station caught fire and a bakery was damaged.
Ukrainian militants are systematically shelling the territories of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, as well as the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions against the backdrop of a special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russia announced on February 24, 2022.
