Olimpia with the 10th victory of the season in a row wins in Bologna with the push of Datome and Rodriguez and rises to the lead alone. In the grand finale of Aradori, but the unsportsmanlike fouls and the expulsion of Richardson weigh heavily. Followed by Cremona-Brindisi and Venice-Pesaro
FORTITUDO-MILAN 75-86
Milan enjoys a night in command passing the PalaDozza against a never tamed Fortitudo. However, the tenth consecutive victory between the championship and the Euroleague is not a walk in the park, despite the fact that the Bolognese are without Gudmundsson, Groselle, Fantinelli and Mancinelli, having to then also renounce Totè due to injury at the end of the third quarter and Richardson sent off at the beginning of the fourth. The talent and depth of Olimpia, who sent five men in double figures led by Rodriguez’s 16 points, made the difference in the second half. The initial 5-0 was illusory for Armani because immediately after Fortitudo enters the game with great energy while the guests throw five balls in the first five minutes. First Procida, who unleashes all his athletic means with a dunk on the counterattack and a block, then Richardson and Totè push the Bolognese on 28-21 in the second quarter, with Olimpia very slow and soft on both sides of the field. Arranged a minimum of ideas, with Rodriguez in the control room instead of the bewildered Grant, Messina’s team only takes a couple of minutes of high physical intensity to erode the gap and go to the interval on +4 (35-39). Upon returning from the break, a flash of Richardson momentarily brings Fortitudo back (40-39), but the Milanese tide begins to rise and Olimpia team takes over the game with shots from Rodriguez, Datome and Hall (43-54 ). A few whistles annoy PalaDozza, Martino tries with the four little ones, but when Richardson is sent off on 31 ‘for a technician following an unsportsmanlike previous one it seems over (50-62). With the heart, however, Fortitudo produces a 10-0 in two minutes with Aradori unleashed (all his 18 points in the last 14 ‘) who misses the triple overtaking, while Rodriguez and Hall are very cold from the arc for the final extension (62-75) in the middle of the last quarter.
