This Sunday the long-distance test will be held.

The demanding route, with descents, flatness and a hard ascent near the finish line, will be the ideal setting for the fight of the great cyclists of the country who will be present, with the exception of Egan Bernal and Rigoberto Urán.

The route is a circuit that will be given 10 laps to complete the 237 kilometers in the streets of Bucaramanga. The test starts at 8 in the morning.

Sergio Higuita:
He is the current national champion and wants to repeat what was done last year. He is an expert cyclist in one-day races, he is a long-distance runner who knows how to read the test well. He is the first opponent to beat. He went gold in 2020.

Miguel Angel Lopez:
He is the best Colombian cyclist of the moment. He already won the individual time trial and wants the cherry on the cake. He already has four wins this season and would like gold in the long-distance competition.

Daniel Martinez:
He was unable to make the podium in the time trial due to a puncture, but he has a chance to win the cross-country event. He has the conditions to get into the fight. He was bronze in 2020 and knows how to move in the finals.

Nairo Quintana:
He has never been on the podium in the road test, but his category is undeniable. The boyacense is a strong card to win a medal, which would be a balm, a blow of opinion after facing the problem of the Tour de France.

Esteban Chaves:
This year he has not run and he arrives without much noise at the final test of the contest. He is a cyclist who knows inside out how to ride these kinds of one day races and long rides. Last year he was a silver medalist.
