For the first time this year, representatives of the countries of South-East Asia will attend the G7 meeting in Liverpool.

Britannian foreign minister Liz Truss has called on the West and its allies at the G7 to defend themselves against “aggressors” seeking to undermine freedom.
British Broadcasting Corporation BBC’s according to the foreign minister also warned Russia that attacking Ukraine would be a “strategic mistake” with consequences for Russia.
The weekend’s G7 summit in Liverpool has begun amid a tense international situation as Russia has concentrated troops on the Ukrainian border in recent weeks.
The G7 is a group of Britain, Italy, Japan, Canada, France, Germany and the United States.
German foreign minister Annalena Baerbock said on Saturday night the G7 countries agreed that the parties should return to the negotiating table to resolve the tension over the concentration of Russian troops.
“We have to do everything we can to get back into dialogue,” Baerbock told reporters.
The United States announced on Saturday that a diplomat representing the country in Europe Karen Donfried will travel to both Ukraine and Russia next week to discuss the transfer of Russian troops with their administrations. He told about it, among other things news agency Reuters.
The United States says it wants to “reaffirm its commitment to Ukraine’s independence and territorial integrity”.

G7 meeting Other issues on the agenda include the corona situation, the weakening of China’s influence, the situation in Myanmar and the restriction of Iran’s nuclear activities.
The ministers of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) will also attend the meeting on Sunday, for the first time in history. South Korea, South Africa, Australia and India will also be invited by Britain.
In recent years, the United States in particular has begun to emphasize cooperation with the countries of Southeast Asia in its foreign policy against China’s growing influence, which the United States is concerned about.
U.S. Secretary of State attending the G7 meeting Antony Blinken plans to travel to Southeast Asia next week as part of strengthening relations.
