Blinken’s statement was assessed by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova: she characterized the interference in internal affairs, which Washington insists on, as a NATO routine, backing up her words with real examples in the form of other countries, including Syria, Libya, Iraq, Yugoslavia.

At the same forum, a representative of the US Department of State appealed to Russia and Ukraine to reaffirm their commitment to abide by the Minsk agreements as part of the settlement of the situation in Donbass. Blinken expressed hope that the Russian side will take into account the stated claims. Thus, Zakharova summed up that the process of searching for the US aggressors should begin “standing in front of the mirror.”
