Brazilian Gustavo Alex, Al-Nasr defender, received a “secret paper” from Dutch coach Schroeder, after Glauber Lima was sent off in the 81st minute of the Sharjah match, and after it was torn up, he spoke directly with his teammates in the back line, and explained that Schroeder asked Gustavo to commit to defensive duties, and not go to the field. The forward, in light of the numerical shortage, with the area closed to the “King” attack, especially after Tigali participated in place of Katanic, who was injured.
The match showed the great state of concentration of Gustavo, the former Sharjah player, as he saved the “Blue” net in the 96th minute from a strong shot fired by Tigali from inside the area. The “save” is considered the best in “Round 16”, especially since it deprived Sharjah of superiority in the match. And gave Al-Nassr an important point in his good career. In addition to the wonderful save, Gustavo excelled in monitoring the “King’s” attackers, especially Malian Moussa Marega.
Gustavo, 23 years old, is considered a key player in Schroeder’s squad. He played 11 starting matches (990 minutes), and is considered the strong wall in the “Dean’s” defense at the present time.
