In the second block “transparency and combating corruption” of the Second Chilango Debate, the Citizen Movement candidate, Salomón Chertorivski, attacked his opponents, Clara Brugada of the coalition 'Let's continue making history in Mexico City' and Santiago Taboada of the coalition'He goes through Mexico City'calling them fakes by pointing out that they have nothing to talk about about the fight against corruption.
In his message, he made serious points to Clara Brugada by stating that the party she represents has not managed to eradicate corruption in 30 years. She recalled that according to the Federal Government, Mexico City is the most corrupt nationally. “Clear Corruption”he emphasized.
Regarding the candidate Santiago Taboada, he recalled that talking about corruption may sound a bit 'shameful'since the coalition parties 'He's going through Mexico City', that he represents, have several members imprisoned for authorizing overpriced works, a system from which he said the candidate has benefited.
In response, Solomon Chertorivsky He asked people in the upcoming elections on June 2 to choose between 'corruption and opacity' or him, who in more than 20 years has never been accused of corruption and there is no aspect for which he can be accused.
He explained that it is necessary to understand how corruption affects the functioning of the country, since it is present in all areas, from governments to the distribution of positions, works, contracts and other activities where there are interests.
To solve this problem, Solomon Chertorivsky He explained that he has a plan of 4 proposals that contemplate the correct following of the laws, transparency and more.
Chertorivski proposes four key measures to eradicate corruption
Firstly, he proposed the Implementation ofl Local Anti-Corruption System, with the objective of effectively reviewing and activating this system, ensuring its alignment with constitutional mandates. Furthermore, he advocated the T360 transparency, seeking to establish a comprehensive system that allows citizens to track and justify every peso of the government budget.
Likewise, he proposed submitting the Social Programs to Rigorous Audits, in order to avoid its misuse in political or partisan campaigns. Finally, he advocated the establishment of a Professional Career Service, where the advancement and entry of officials are based on merit and professional skills, not on political affinities. These measures seek to comprehensively address the problem of corruption in Mexico.
