“Do you know who approved that Mitikah Tower project? Your new advisor, Marcelo Ebrard“On those dates those projects were authorized, so maybe you have to go ask him for advice,” said the standard-bearer for the PAN-PRI-PRD parties.
This statement was a response to his opponent, Clara Brugadafrom the Let's Keep Making History coalition, who released the real estate cartel issueaccusing Taboada of allowing alleged contracts, as head of the Benito Juárez delegation, and favoring certain works, including the aforementioned Mitikah Tower.
“In Benito Juárez, 264 illegal corruption apartments that involve 23 million liters of water, that is what the Real Estate Cartel steals from CDMX,” said Brugada.
It should be remembered that Ebrard, former secretary of foreign relations, is spokesperson for the candidate championed by Morena-Labor Party-Green Ecologist Party of Mexico, insisted on the existence of the Real Estate Cartel, pointing out that the construction of irregular apartments is equivalent to several Mitikah Towers.
It is important to note that it was in 2008 when the project was approvedwho was then in charge of Mexico City was precisely Marcelo Ebrard as the capital's boss.
He Huge mixed-use complex Mitikah consists of the tallest skyscraper in CDMX, with 267.3 meters high and 68 floors, and a huge 5-level shopping center and 280 commercial premises; covering a total area of 98 thousand 288 square meters.
Notably Neighbors in the Xoco area are against said project and they have demonstrated on repeated occasions since they have been displaced and they assure that it affects their water service.
One of the controversies in this regard is that for the neighbors the works were illegal, since being Xoco, an indigenous town, an indigenous consultation had to be carried out, in addition to all the surrounding places.
