The group of friends was driving along the provincial road towards Iseo during the night, coming from Darfo, probably returning from an evening spent with friends. The accident occurred at the exit of Vello, after the San Carlo tunnel. Apparently no other vehicles were involved: it seems that the driver lost control of the car for reasons yet to be determined. The young man then allegedly invaded the opposite laneclimbing onto the sidewalk and ending his run against a pole that illuminated the roadway.

The Iseo traffic police carried out surveys to determine the dynamics of the accident, while the firefighters extracted the young people from the vehicle. The driver, Daniele Turelli, a boy born in 2004 originally from Sale Marasino, arrived at the Civile di Brescia by helicopter in critical condition and died a few hours later.
