A group of eight passengers experienced firsthand the fear of many people who decide to get on a roller coaster. And it is that in an amusement park in the United States, the carriage of an attraction stopped in the middle of a turn and left visitors hanging upside down, 40 meters high who paid for their tickets to enjoy a moment of adrenaline that they will never forget.
The security of the place took more than two hours to lower them, but no injuries were reported.
The incident happened on Tuesday afternoon at the amusement park known as Forest County Festival, located in the city of Crandon, in the state of Wisconsin. Over there, a roller coaster wagon stopped due to a malfunction that caused the braking system to activate.
“There was a mechanical failure in the ride that left it stuck upright. The attraction was recently inspected by the state of Wisconsin,” said fire brigade captain Brennan Cook in dialogue with WJFW, as reported by CNN.

The desperate situation caused hundreds of visitors to come to witness how the group of eight people kept upside down in the main turn of the roller coaster until the establishment’s emergency services and the city’s fire brigade began to arrive.
However, the rescue operations were delayed. In a statement shared by Facebook, Crandon firefighters indicated that a retired rope rescue specialist was at the scene who helped command and direct the work in those difficult circumstances in the first instance.

With the help of a fire truck with a ladder, the operation was expedited and the eight people were brought to safety, but the last one was hung upside down for two hours. Ten fire vehicles, nine ambulances and 50 people from three counties were mobilized to the scene to rescue the passengers, the fire department said.
Once safe, were taken to a health center to be evaluated and monitored for possible adverse consequences given the number of minutes they were exposed to the sun and upside down. The authorities assure that it was due to the activation of the emergency brake since a failure was recorded on the route.
The case occurs a few days after the “tallest in North America” roller coaster was closed due to a crack in one of the columns that support the rails of the structure.
It is one of the main attractions of the Carowings amusement park, in the United States, and which circulates almost 100 meters above the ground and at a speed of 150 kilometers per hour.

Located on the border of the states of North Carolina and South Carolina in the aforementioned amusement park, the fury 325 mega roller coaster is one of the fastest and tallest in the world attracting adrenaline junkies to live the infrequent speed limit experience.
However, from the Carowings park administration they reported that they had to close the attraction due to a dangerous fracture in one of the tightest turns.

“Safety is our top priority and we value our valued guests’ patience and understanding during this process. As part of our comprehensive safety protocols, all attractions, including the Fury 325 roller coaster, undergo daily inspections to ensure proper operation and structural integrity,” the park explained in a statement, according to CNN.
In that sense, they reported that “the tallest, fastest and longest roller coaster in North America will remain closed until the necessary inspections and repairs are carried out.”
