His first season as an official rider is stingy with satisfaction for Axel Bassani, but the home round has a special flavor also because it smacks of renewal: the Kawasaki team has in fact announced that in 2025 it will continue its journey with the Venetian rider, who will join Alex Lowes in the new Bimota project.
“Continuity” can be the key word that best describes the Kawasaki team, which relies on knowledge to continue progressing and returning to the top. After announcing the renewal of Alex Lowes, the presence of Bassani is confirmed, who joined the team this year and will continue to work on the Kawasaki and Bimota project also in 2025.
“What better place than Misano to announce my continuation with the team and my involvement in a project that combines the skills and commitment of Japan and Italy!”, says Bassani. “As part of my personal racing journey, this will help me learn more and grow as a rider. It is definitely a logical and gradual process for my professional path. I am very happy with this opportunity which, in terms of confidence and concentration for the rest of 2024, allows me to invest all my time and energy in winning points and podiums aboard the KRT Ninja ZX-10RR.”
There is enthusiasm on Bassani’s part, despite the results he is struggling to achieve in this first part of the season as an official Kawasaki rider. Guim Roda, KRT Team Manager confirms this: “We extended the long-term agreement with Axel because he met 100% the expectations we had of him. His potential was demonstrated in quality details during the first races of the season 2024. We are committed to providing him with the necessary tools to consolidate his potential. At the same time, he will perfect himself to understand how to ride a motorcycle that is so different from the one he has used in the past. All members of the team are very happy with this continuity and we expect an extraordinary result with him in 2025.”
