NASA’s Landsat satellite has captured the before and after of DANA’s passage through the Valencian Community, where intense rains and floods have left at least 70 fatalities. In several videos shared on water.
Méndez points out that the areas that appear in the images obtained by the NASA satellite are south of the metropolitan area of Valencia, where many industrial estates are located as well as residential areas. In addition, you can see how not only the sea waters have a brown color: the bed of the Turia River as well and for many kilometers before reaching the coast.
In another image you can also see how the Albufera, greenish in tone before passing the DANA and with a much more defined shape before the storm, has not only turned brown, but occupies a much larger area, bordering on the limits of the Turia river, to the north.
