Magnus Corte won in the second stage of the Criterium Dauphiné, which was disputed this Monday between Gannat and the Col de la Logeof 142 kilometers, in which the leader, the runner from the UNO Santiago Buitrago rose in the general classification.
The day ended in a cold environment, with fog that revealed little of the end of the hard day, with the glimpse of the first mountain prizes of the competition.
Narrowly
Bruno Almirail (Decathlon) was the most outstanding of the day, as he escaped in search of points in the climbs and, why not, for the victory in the fraction, something that was ruined in the end, since he was caught in the last 200 meters.
Primoz Roglic (Bora), the great favorite, crossed the sentencing line in second place and ascends to that place in the general classification. Buitrago rose 45 places and now occupies 18th place.
Santiago Umba (Astana), Ivan Sosa (Movistar) and Harold Tejada (Astana)the other three Colombians in the race, did the same, took advantage of their climbing skills and rose in the classification, which was tighter than during the first stage.
Remco Evenepoel (Soudal)the other great figure of the test, was not ahead, but he arrived in the group of the main riders.
The third day of the French competition, prior to the Tour de France, will take place this Tuesday between Celles-sur-Durolle and Les Estables181 kilometers, with five mountain passes, the last of them third category and four kilometers from the finish line, in which the great favorites for the title will take second place.
