Loredana Bertè with 'Pazza' leads the ranking of the first evening of the Sanremo Festival 2024, which involves the vote of only the press room jury and is revealed only in the top five positions. Completing the top 5, in second place is Angelina Mango 'La noia', in third place Annalisa 'Sincerely', in fourth place Diodato with 'Ti Muovi', in fifth place Mahmood with 'Tuta Gold'.
The ranking in the fifth festival conducted by Amadeus is determined by 3 different juries. There is Televoting, with the jury of viewers who vote for each singer combined with a code, there is the Press Room, TV and Web Jury and there is the Radio Jury – which replaces the 'old' Demoscopic Jury – made up of a series of radio stations and networks spread across the whole of Italy, with a homogeneous representation.
The first evening, with all 30 songs proposed, was judged by the Press Room: the jury of accredited journalists determined the top 5 positions after the first performances at the Festival. The 30 singers will therefore be divided into 2 groups of 15 for the Wednesday and Thursday evenings. The order of appearance on stage will be decided by the draw which, as Amadeus explained, will be staged on Wednesday morning in the press room. The average of the percentages of votes obtained by the singers will determine the general ranking.
On the fourth cover evening, the 30 singers will also be able to perform duets. This evening, the vote from home will weigh 34%, the other two juries will count 33% each. On the fifth evening, the final, all 30 songs are here again. The average between the votes of the fifth evening via televoting and the previous ones will produce a new ranking. The top 5 will compete with new performances in a competition that starts from scratch until the winner is defined.
