Sánchez supports the Attorney General for “doing his job” and demands Ayuso’s resignation

Pedro Sánchez makes a strong defense of the State Attorney General after the decision of the Supreme Court to carry out an investigation into the leak of an email about the agreement that Alberto González Amador requested for a tax crime and that was in the hands of 18 others people. “We respect the actions of the Supreme Court, but we support the actions of the Attorney General because he has done his job: pursue the criminal and combat misinformation and hoax,” he responded at a press conference in Brussels.

The President of the Government has recalled that this cause stems from the fact that “the chief of staff of the president of the Community of Madrid [Miguel Ángel Rodríguez]at the time the partner of this confessed criminal, spread a hoax to place the lie on the side of the State Attorney General’s Office.” “What we have to ask ourselves as a society is when the PP is going to demand explanations and responsibilities from the president of the Community of Madrid, who is the partner of a confessed criminal,” added Sánchez, who has called on Alberto Núñez Feijóo to resign “from her boss” in reference to Ayuso.

Before the president’s appearance ended, Ayuso’s chief of staff reacted through HoweverAyuso’s boyfriend awaits a sentence for deceiving the Public Treasury for not contributing the percentage that corresponded to him after pocketing a commission of almost two million euros for the purchase and sale of medical supplies in the middle of the pandemic. He also falsified documents to complete the maneuver to deceive the treasury.

Sánchez recalled that Alberto González Amador was “enriched” by the sale of masks during the pandemic and has suggested that Ayuso “benefited” from those actions. Hence, he considers that Feijóo has to purge political responsibilities in Puerta del Sol. “Feijóo, his boss, Mrs. Ayuso, needs to demand political responsibilities, which cannot be other than resignation,” said Sánchez, who has compared the situation of the PP with that of the PSOE with respect to the former Secretary of Organization, who “eight months ago” was expelled and the deputy’s certificate was claimed when information became known about his possible involvement in a corrupt plot also linked, among other things, to the acquisition of masks.
