Paris Saint-Germain is intensifying its efforts to find a “super replacement” for its young star, Kylian Mbappe, who will leave at the end of the season, on his way to Real Madrid, unless a surprise occurs. The club management’s choice has settled on Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, Napoli’s top scorer, but that requires “ Sacrifice” by dispensing with 4 players who take the opposite route to Napoli, namely Carlos Soler, Lucas Peraldo, Marco Asensio, and Kang-In Lee.
The Italian newspaper “Il Mattino” reported that the “exchange process” aims to reduce the value of the amount requested by Napoli, in exchange for dispensing with the services of the “Nigerian Eagle”, estimated at 120 million euros, the value of the penalty clause in his contract.
If Saint-Germain accepts the offer, Osimhen will be in Paris this summer, signing a 4-year contract and receiving a salary of 13 million euros annually, in addition to retaining full “image rights,” according to what the Italian newspaper reported.
The newspaper indicated that negotiations are advanced between the French and Italian clubs, in order to sign Osimhen this summer, with the inclusion of the four players, or some of them, in the deal, to reduce the amount paid by Saint-Germain.
And if there is no problem for Carlos Soler, who was already on sale since last winter, as he rarely plays, then the other three, Beraldo, Asensio, and Kang-In Lee, are needed by the Spanish coach, Luis Enrique, from time to time in the “rotation” process, and for this reason Enrique must settle the matter with the club's management first, so they can leave, and Osimhen can sign his contract.
The newspaper said that Napoli wants to include Asensio, Kang-In Lee, Soler and Beraldo in the Osimhen deal, in order to strengthen its ranks, and at the same time provide the opportunity for Saint-Germain to provide part of the value of the penalty clause requested by Napoli (120 million euros).
