Acapulco, Guerrero.- Elements of the Secretariat of the Mexican Navy almost assured three tons of cocaine and stopped five peoplealleged transgressors of the law, in two operations in the southeast of Guerrero.
In a first action, sailors carrying out patrols at sea aboard a Defender vessel, located and secured various rib-like lumps black boats that were floating and moored together, approximately 61 nautical miles (113 kilometers) southeast of Acapulco, Guererro.
These packages had a weight of around 1,610 kilograms and contained white powder with characteristics of cocaine.
Later, in a second action, aboard a Mexican Navy ship, naval personnel located two boats, moored together, with three outboard motors each, approximately 178 nautical miles (330 kilometers) southeast of Acapulco.
In these vessels were located 26 rib-type packages with an approximate weight of 1,329 (one thousand three hundred and twenty-nine) kilograms of white powder with characteristics of the cocaine and 16 drums with alleged hydrocarbon, as well as five alleged lawbreakers.
Both the almost three tons of cocaine and the five people alleged to have violated the law were placed at the disposal of the Attorney General's Office for the initiation of the corresponding investigation files.
