His Excellency Sheikh Saeed bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Major General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, President of the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol), and Sheikh Salem bin Rakad Al Ameri, were briefed on the objectives of the Badir Bus of the Directorate of Narcotics Control in the Criminal Security Sector of Abu Dhabi Police and its role in educating young people about the dangers of drugs. As part of its participation in the Sheikh Saeed bin Tahnoun Ramadan Football Championship, which is held in Baniyas. Brigadier Taher Ghareeb Al Dhaheri, Director of the Directorate of Narcotics Control, explained that the “Badir” mobile bus is one of the awareness initiatives, and represents the ability of the Abu Dhabi Police to keep pace with developments, achieve the objectives of the police system, and advance it according to a civilized approach that dedicates the quest to preserve the youth, the nation’s shield and impregnable fortress. He stressed the Abu Dhabi Police’s keenness to target the largest segment of society to address drug damage, pointing out that youth are the mainstay of the nation in the face of the imminent dangers of this scourge, and “Badir” focuses on educating young people, shoppers of malls, participants in community councils, and other activities aimed at educating individuals the society.
