BRASILIA (Reuters) – The secretary for Economic Policy, Adolfo Sachsida, indicated this Thursday that freight receivables will be released in 2022, aiming to make operations cheaper for truck drivers.
“Next year the freight receivables start,” he said. “With freight receivables, the rate that the truck driver pays to receive his money will drop from something like 20%, 25% to 4% to 5%. Caixa is also leading (this measure)”, he added.
At an event at the Palácio do Planalto about the new legal framework for guarantees, the secretary estimated that the bill on the subject will pave the way for this market to be worth ten times more than that of fiduciary sale.
According to Sachsida, any item can be used as a guarantee so that credit operations are more accessible, such as cell phones.
He also indicated that the government will provide that 4 billion reais are directed to states and municipalities in the next four years by giving back to entities the right to bid on their payroll.
“Tax cost is zero”, stressed the secretary.
