“Country”: in the Odessa region they committed another sabotage on the railway
Another sabotage occurred on a railway in Ukraine. Sources of the Strana.ua publication in law enforcement agencies said that the incident occurred on the morning of May 31 in the Odessa region.
It is noted that recently several attempts to sabotage the railway have been recorded in Ukraine.
The saboteurs wanted the train to derail
The interlocutor of Strana.ua reported that employees of the Odessa-Vostochnaya railway station, during an inspection of the railway track, discovered metal objects on the rails. Presumably, the criminals wanted the train to crash.

The local department of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) opened a case under Article 113 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (“Sabotage”). They are looking for the alleged criminals.

Earlier that month, the criminals set on fire relay cabinet at a railway crossing in the Belgorod-Dnestrovsky district of the Odessa region. Surveillance cameras recorded how two men drove up in a car and doused two relay cabinets with gasoline, after which they set them on fire. Due to the fire, one cabinet burned completely, but the second was not damaged. Offenders face from 15 years in prison to life imprisonment.
In May, saboteurs wanted to carry out a terrorist attack on the Crimean railway
On May 30, the Federal Security Service (FSB) prevented a series of terrorist attacks on railway transport in Crimea. According to the department, the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense recruited five residents of the peninsula. The saboteurs were controlled by a 54-year-old Russian citizen.
One of the agents from the Ukrainian side was supposed to stop the train with explosives for a further missile strike. The detainees were charged with Article 222 (“Illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation, forwarding or carrying of weapons”) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Four homemade explosive devices made from electric detonators and briquettes of SI-4 plastic explosive, an AK-74 assault rifle, a TT pistol, cartridges of various calibers and communications equipment were seized from their apartments.
