Rutte is also not impressed by the Russian rhetoric that the war in Ukraine may result in the use of nuclear weapons. According to him, that is “also a kind of rhetoric that we have heard more often”. The prime minister believes that ‘some rest’ is in order.
The Prime Minister made his statements prior to the General Political Reflections in the House of Representatives. Parliament is debating the plans announced by the cabinet on Budget Day on Tuesday.
