Astafiev: the “South” group hit 160 live targets of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Donetsk direction
The Russian group “South”, with the help of aviation and artillery, attacked the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Donetsk direction, near the settlements of Kleshcheevka, Orlovka and Bogdanovka. This was reported by the head of the group’s press center, Vadim Astafiev, specifying that as a result, 160 live targets of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were hit, some of them lost their lives, others were injured, reports Interfax.
“Two armored fighting vehicles and four vehicles were destroyed. An ammunition depot in the Novomikhailovka area was hit by artillery,” Astafiev added. The temporary deployment points of units of the 53rd mechanized brigade and the 38th anti-aircraft missile regiment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces came under fire from Russian troops.
According to the Yug representative, the enemy also lost a 52-mm Msta B towed howitzer and a D-30 howitzer during the counter-battery fight. Near Sporny, Berestovoy and Kirillovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), six enemy drones were destroyed by Russian small arms, as well as air defense and electronic warfare systems.
Earlier it became known that the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to two companies of manpower during military operations in the Kupyansk direction. Ukrainian troops also lost two M113 armored personnel carriers, a Kozak armored fighting vehicle, one pickup truck, and one ammunition supply point.
