And the news agency “Reuters” quoted the governor of the Dnipro region, Valentin Rezny Shenko, as saying that the Russian bombing took place at night early Tuesday morning.
The source explained that the Russian bombing led to the destruction of the airport runway, in addition to damaging other buildings in the civilian facility.
The Ukrainian official stressed, in an online statement, that repairing the damage caused by the bombing will take a long time.
The source did not mention casualties as a result of the bombing, while flights to and from Ukraine continue to be suspended, due to the Russian military operations that began on the twenty-fourth of last February.
Meanwhile, at least two people were killed on Tuesday morning, in the bombing of an apartment building in Kyiv, according to the Ukrainian Emergency Service.
“The bodies of two people were found and 27 people were rescued,” the emergency service said, adding that the building is located in the Svyatoshenki district, west of the capital.
The Ukrainian military said, in a statement, that the strikes were artillery shelling targeting the Svyatoshinsky district in western Kyiv, adjacent to the district of Irbin, which witnessed some of the worst battles of the war.
