On the night of March 5, Russian air defense systems destroyed three unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAV) over the territory of the Belgorod region. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
“Tonight, another attempt by the Kyiv regime to carry out a terrorist attack using three aircraft-type UAVs against targets on the territory of the Russian Federation was stopped,” the ministry said in the Telegram channel.
Information about casualties and damage is not provided.
The day before, as a result of shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka in the Belgorod region, a house was damaged. In addition, the village of Lemeshovka in the Bryansk region was also damaged by shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces: several residential buildings were damaged.

At the same time, it became known that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) dropped an explosive device from a drone on the outskirts of the village of Shchetinovka, Belgorod region. No injuries were reported. According to the regional governor, Vyacheslav Gladkov, power lines were damaged as a result of the detonation of the explosive device.
On the same day, the investigative group of the Russian Investigative Committee was attacked by a Ukrainian drone in the Starodubsky municipal district of the Bryansk region. Two were injured, two more were shell-shocked.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces are trying to strike Russian territories against the backdrop of a special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision to hold it was made against the backdrop of an aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
