The Russian Ministry of Energy said this Wednesday, 22, that it intends to compensate for the additional oil production recorded in April, to continue complying with the voluntary reductions agreed with the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries and allies (OPEC+).
In a statement, the ministry states that the country remains “fully committed to the OPEC+ agreements”, and that it will present its compensation plans soon to the OPEC secretariat. According to the institution, the overproduction in April was a consequence of “technical characteristics”.
