Russia: ‘USA. The US adds fuel to the fire by sending missiles to Ukraine’

The Kremlin accused the United States on Wednesday of “adding fuel to the fire” after the announcement of the delivery of US missiles to Ukraine, to respond to the Russian offensive.

“We believe that the United States is deliberately adding fuel to the fire… These (weapons) deliveries do not encourage the Ukrainian leadership to relaunch peace negotiations,” Russian presidential spokesman Dmitri Peskov said.

“These supplies do not favor the Ukrainian leadership’s desire to resume peace talks. We believe that the US is fanning the flames with determination and diligence to fight Russia to the last Ukrainian“, he stated in his daily telephone press conference.

Peskov stated that Moscow negatively values ​​these US plans.

The Kremlin representative added that Moscow distrusts kyivcommenting on the words of the Ukrainian president, Volodimir Zelensky, who assured that he would not use multiple launch systems to attack Russian territory.

Regarding the risk that Ukraine uses this new US weaponry to reach Russian territory, he pointed out that “our competent entities, both the Ministry of Defense and the border guard, see the risks, systematically assess them and take the corresponding measures.”
