Russia, another top manager close to Putin has died
New mysterious death of a high-ranking member of the Russian economic world. The body of Ivan Pechorin, 39-year-old director of the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation, was found on Russky Island off Vladivostock. According to the independent Belarusian broadcaster Nexta Tv, the manager would have fallen overboard during a boat ride while he was in a state of drunkenness.
According to Komsomolskaya Pravda, Pechorin was working under Putin’s direction to modernize aviation in the Russian Far East and develop Arctic resources, with the aim of countering economic sanctions. Pechorin had participated in the Far East Economic Forum, which took place in Vladivostock between 5 and 8 September.
Pechorin’s predecessor, 43-year-old Igor Nosov, died of a heart attack in February. There are several cases of Russian oligarchs and entrepreneurs who died in incidents not always cleared up, shortly before or after the invasion of Ukraine. The last case before Pechorin occurred on September 1st, when 67-year-old Ravil Maganov, former manager of Lukoil, the second Russian oil company, died falling from the window of a hospital in Moscow.
