Russian forces have destroyed or damaged more than 1,500 residential buildings, 202 schools and 34 hospitals since the start of the war in Ukraine 12 days ago, according to the Ukrainian presidency. In addition, more than 900 locations in the country were left without water, electricity and heating.
On Twitter, Mykhailo Podolyak, an adviser to the Ukrainian president’s office, called the Russians “21st century barbarians” and added: “Russia’s army doesn’t know how to fight other armies, but it’s good at killing civilians.”
