It would be the first time that the maneuvers are carried out in Latin America. Last year they were held in Vietnam and this time at least 10 nations will be present.
The SFS ensures that it is “a strategic movement that seeks to preposition military assets deployed in Latin America and the Caribbean.” On several occasions, its executive director, Joseph Humire, has warned of the progress of these three nations in Latin America and how they seek to make the United States uncomfortable.
Vladimir Putin, in his latest speeches, has emphasized the end of the unipolar world and has called for the construction of multipolarity, concepts that have been embraced in Chavismo and are part of the speeches of Nicolás Maduro, who has maintained his position friendly with these three countries.

In these “war games” each country must demonstrate the skills of its soldiers in handling weapons. According to the SFS, Venezuela being the venue is a “new attempt by the Nicolás Maduro regime to strengthen ties with eastern allies and challenge the United States.”
