Bolsonaro received BRL 6.8 million from the 10 businessmen who have allocated the most money so far; PT raised BRL 3.7 million in the group
The chairman of the Board of Directors of Cosan, Rubens Omettois so far the biggest donor in the 2022 election, according to data from accountability of the TSE (Superior Electoral Court).
Up until Monday afternoon (Oct 24, 2022), the businessman linked to agribusiness had allocated R$ 8.9 million to directors and candidates from 13 different parties. names of Republicans were the ones that received the most donations from Ometto (R$ 3.4 million).
In 2nd place in ranking of donors appears Alexandre Grendene, one of the founders of footwear company of the same name. He has allocated R$ 6.4 million since the beginning of the campaign. The parties that received the most resources from the businessman were PSC (R$ 1.9 million) and PT (R$ 1.7 million).
Of the 10 names that have donated the most so far, 4 have given money exclusively to the president’s re-election campaign. Jair Bolsonaro. O PLthe chief executive’s party, accumulated R$ 7.9 million collected from 5 individuals in the ranking of top 10.
The PT, on the other hand, received R$3.7 million from this group of largest donors. The brothers Pedro and Alexandre Grendene are responsible for 94% of this figure. This value, however, has always been either for directories in the States or for individual candidates – never exclusively for the campaign of Lula to the presidency.
