“I forgive my attacker, who is evidently only the messenger of evil and political hatred that a politically bankrupt and frustrated opposition has developed to unmanageable proportions in Slovakia.” Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, seriously injured in an attack on May 15, says this in a 14-minute video published on his Facebook account in which he announces his intention to return to “work between June and July”.
It will be “a small miracle”, claims the prime minister, who begins by thanking the “great” doctors of the Roosevelt hospital in Banska Bystrica where he was admitted immediately after the attack, who “avoided the worst”, and of the facility in Bratislava in which one is now.
