The Federal Revenue Service and the Post Office announced this Saturday, the 4th, a partnership to deliver 50 tons of clothes and footwear to victims of the floods caused by the heavy rains that hit Rio Grande do Sul. Goods seized by the inspection body will be transported from São Paulo to Porto Happy. After undergoing Civil Defense screening, they will be sent to the appropriate locations.
According to the federal government, the IRS will also arrange the transport of more than 30 tons of blankets, coats and clothes that are in its warehouse in Foz do Iguaçu (PR). In addition, the institution will also make drones available in the coming days to help assess the damage caused by the rains and search for missing people.

Torrential rains have already left 57 people dead in RS. In addition, there are 67 missing. Of the 497 municipalities in Rio Grande do Sul, 281 have already been affected, in what is considered the worst climate disaster in the State. In the capital, the level of the Guaíba River broke a record. Salgado Filho Airport, located in Canoas, in the metropolitan region of Porto Alegre, suspended its activities indefinitely, and there are records of blackouts and water shortages in the city. The bus station and the historic center were flooded.
